Caller: Scam pretending to be St George Bank

Automated voice advising an important call from St George Bank for (my full name) then for me to press any button to continue. Do not press. Hang up.
I called St George and they advised it was a known scam number.
The number is relentless. Have called several times. Block them.

Its just a late payment chaser. I'm one week behind on my mortgage till the end of August. Nothing sinister, gave me 5 days to catch up, only needed 24 hrs.

This number has called a number of times. Claims to be St George Bank, uses my full name. Ignore them and will block the number.

Automatics message said it was St George. I called St George back and they confirmed that this is a scam and fraudulent call as they would never call asking for personal information over the phone.

Its not a scam number . The number linked to a 3rd party who represent some Banks including St.George.
If you are called and have to return these calls then maybe not paying your debts or are behind in a credit card payment, etc.

I had a message a few weeks back claiming to be St george. I thought it may have been a scam caller so I blocked it. I then had an automated phonecall today claiming to be St.George. They had my first, middle and last name. It said to press 1 to listen to the message. I hung up. I checked my statement on the St.george app and noticed that we were in arrears. I assume that was a legitimate call but next time if I receive a call. I will still hang up and call the proper St.george number and speak with someone. I do however not think it was a scam caller. I think it was a notification of my mortgage being in arrears.

2nd time they called. Contacted the bank it’s definitely a scam, the fraud department advised, since I hung up they may try sending text or emails with links for me to go into.. of course the advice was not to press on anything or provide any details. If you’re truly concerned about something being a mess with your account, hang up and contact the bank yourself through the app.

I received from St George and have had a similar one form NAB. Scam calls. I have accounts with both of these banks and am not in arrears. They sound legitimate as they use your full name but none of these numbers were registered with either banks. Hang up and block calls

Got this call while I was at a St George Branch. I asked the lady and she said that the number doesn't belong to St George. Scam call. They also knew my name.

This number called me 6 times yesterday. Sounds like a scam call from St George Bank. They have my phone number and full name.

I called back and a voice said "the number is not connected

Ignored the call rang the number back they knew my full name just from the number i called on i contacted St George and it is not a number they use and they had no record of anyone contacting me. Don't give them any info
