Caller: Timothy from Local Capital Pty Ltd

I applied for a loan online through a legitimate company (Money 3) I got declined. A week later I was contacted by ‘Local Capital Pty Ltd’ saying they pre approved me for $5000 pending credit checks, they asked for 100 points of ID, 3 months of bank statements & my Centrelink statement which I provided to them. They then came back and said I was approved and that I needed to sign a contract, which I did. Then they contacted me again saying before they can issue me the funds I needed to pay $550 for loan protection insurance because I had bad credit, at this point I suspected scam however I checked their credit license, abn etc and it all checked out so they caught me hook line and sinker. I then transferred $550 into someone’s account, I then got told I needed to send 3 months of loan repayments through before receiving the money, I did not do this. They have since stopped answering my calls and returning my emails.

Caller: Timothy from Granite Finance

Seems to be a common problem unfortunately,
Timothy from Granite Finance gave us this number in regards to a personal loan.
Was told the loan was approved and would receive $'s within 2hrs once we deposited 660.00$'s into the account which was for some type of insurance apparently.
2hrs later no money, following day nothing was now told could take 24/48 hrs
2 weeks later still nothing tried calling 100's of times no answer, Managed to get Timothy on the phone and told would not be getting the 660 back at all and hung up.
Doing what ever we can now to get this scam reported if possible.
Not sure if this is related or just a coincidence but now the misses phone and laptop have been hacked into from someone somewhere as these devices were used originally when applying for the loan and transferring the so called 660 $'s deposit...
