Just had them call me today and reported it to the ACCC scam watch

received the same phone call now, indian accent, very hard to understand, wanted to put $7000 into my account from bank fees that i had paid.

I was suspicious from the start. Amazing how everyone is owed the exact same amount of money! I don't pay bank fees so I don't know why the bank would owe me money back for overcharging me. Does anyone know where the best place is to report this?

same as all the others, terrible Indian accents, they try to get details, d o b, which bank you are with etc. I had some free time, kept them talking for 30 mins, then said I did not need the money and hung up, how stupid/gullible do they think we are.

its a scam. a whole buisness set up just to scam hard working australian.

This is a scam, they are saying they are the Australian Government Finance Department (in an Indian accent) and that I have been overcharged by my bank and am due a refund of $7268, all I have to do is go to an Australia Post Office and pay - wait for it - just $200 and the money will be released to me. SCAM SCAM SCAM people, don't get caught

I just got told they owe me $7268.00 from the government which i had over paid. I got my grandson who is a police officer to call, was very unproffesional with they answered the phone he knew nothing about the details. Definately a scam do not give them any details. Nothing but a scam.

they want you to ring back did that no answer just like David said they should know which bank you use a sure scam

This idiot wants to send money you have been overcharged in fees from your bank but doesn't know which bank - a scam for sure
