Robotic voice warning me about ‘tax (sic) avoidation’ and a warrant for my arrest.

Just ignore.

This freaked me out thanked Im wise enough ti know its a scam..... It is a continuous caller... I have only just started receiving these calls having just switched my mobile provider to TPG?...... Maybe they are selling the numbers! ......

Indian man was picked up when I was call back this number

How do we report the number?

I have been receiving a number of calls from various numbers all beginning with the prefix (02) as I do not know abody in Sydney have not answered the call suspecting it to be a scammer but have generally checked out the number on this site to see if my suspicions were correct.

This is the second time i've received a non-sensical message claiming to be the tax office issuing a warrant for my arrest. Goes to an overseas call centre

Absolute scam.

Caller: Said he was from ATO

Gave Case ID, Badge No. Warrant No. said if I couldn't pay the amount demanded I would be taken into custody within half an hour. If I could not pay the debt I could face 5 years in jail and in short my credibility would be destroyed. It was the most brutal conversation and I could not believe that the ATO would deal with a pensioner in this manner. It is definitely a scam which I verified with my Tax agent once I had calmed down a little.

I received the same voicemail message. It's fake.

No message. I hung up as I was busy but then called back. Typical Indian accented voice answered - no proper greeting. I hung up, checked reverse Australia and blocked the number
