Can confirm it is just a recorded message from Exetel. Just had an ADSL2 service connected and it was just a confirmation call.

Did you figure out this one? I got a call just now from the same number and cannot return the call - my phone just indicates "disconnected"Obviously from Sydney/NSW but I'm not sure if it's a company I'm waiting for a call from or something dodgy.

My wife got this phone call on our just activated voip DID number, it's kinds of recording autoplay.

Got it sorted. It was a pre-recorded message from Exetel to advise me of the status of our service request/fault log.
