I was previously employed by the highly immoral Insight CFS. Basically what the company is doing is cold calling elderly senile Australians and intimating/pressuring them to purchase raffle tickets via credit or debt card for a charity such as the PCYC or RSPCA etc, which cost $1000.00 dollars or less. I am embarrassed to admit that I once worked for Insight CFS, and I feel so dirty. Hangup, if Insight CFS call you.

Yea I got a call from this number today and they ring once and hang up. I am also on the do not call list, but they just ignore this. However this behaviour is harrassment and should be dealt with by the Police. Craigs story about his Mum being ripped off for $200 by the PCYC is just disgraceful. You need to call the TV stations to put this on the news, to prevent this from happening again. SO PCYC PFO

Had a missed call from this number today at 5:22 pm I feel harassed because I have a silent number and also on the do not call register. I don't think charity's should be exempt.

Bloody charities exploiting their exclusion from the no-call register.
We should have a no-call register for them too.
I think these people hope you call back sa part of their strategy. Grrrr.

Thanks Gail.We got a call at 7PM this evening from that number and we too are on a do not call register.I think Telstra got burnt a few years ago selling those lists to the scammers. Now days I let it ring through to our answering machine to screen calls like this.If it's a recognisable voice after 6-7 rings such as a relative, I pickup. Also *10# helps if your a Telstra customer as well.

Guggi, just remember the charity you first bought entries for in their raffle from Insight, your details were taken and specifically called for their other charities. This is illegal.Your details may not have been sold, but you details have gone to their 8 or so other charities they call for. And you now give money constantly to 2 or their charities because they used methods which are illegal. And forgive me, their job is to hound you, and that's what they were doing.Just remember that granny on the phone saving $30 of her pension money she really cannot afford to give away, but thinks it will help puppies at the RSPCA, well 30 cents in te dollar of it will, the rest goes to people like Elle who's job it is, is to get money out of you. So really where do you think and how much do you think goes to the people in need?

Hello, I would like to help.
If you are receiving calls from (02) 8079 4700 Insight has been trying to contact you on behalf of one of our charity clients.
InsightCFS is a call centre that raises funds for several Australian Charities. Please be assured that calls from this number are legitimate and fundraising is done with the charities consent. All call lists used by InsightCFS are Privacy Compliant. As insight calls on behalf of Australian Charities call lists are not based of the "Do Not Call Register" as charities are exempt.

InsightCFS is not the only company doing charity fundraising calling so if you receive any calls from other companies that you do not want to receive we recommend that you ask the telemarketer who called you to ask their supervisor to remove you from all of their calling lists.
We apologise for any inconvenience receiving telemarketing calls may cause you, and hope that you understand that telemarketing raffles provide a huge boost in funds for our charity clients.
Thankyou for reading through this message.

I have no idea who this call is from. It appears regularly and hangs up at 5 rings.

Hi everone
I just contacted the phone number that Elle-May suggests and spoke with Tom, who was lovely. He told me which charities I was listed to be contacted from (all of these are charities I have donated to previously and 2 of them I still donate to monthly). The reason for this is that Insight do exactly as Elle-May says and they phone people on behalf of various charities.
My new suggestion is to ring the number Elle-May suggests and politely ask them to remove you from their phone list and that they remove you from ALL charities you are attached to.
As Tom pointed out to me, they aren't there to hound you or upset you, they are simply doing a job like everyone else (and for much needed funds for people less fortunate than most of us - and how do they know who is and who isn't?).
Have some patience and kindness people and it returns to you ten-fold.
I hope I've alleviated some angst for people now?
Take care all. Best wishes.
Guggi

I've had this number call me several times. I've been ignorning it, as I assumed it was just telemarketing. However, today I got curious and decided to answer. When I picked up, there was a busy signal on the other end? They must have hung up just as I answered. Craig's story about his mum and the $200 is absolutely disgusting. I hope the local MP can do something. They should absolutely reimburse her and also not contact her again in the future for donations.
