My brother in law got scammed by them as they sounded like they really new their stuff & that his computer was at risk. He authorised them to take $300 from his dad's Visa for their service & allowed them dial in access to the computer! Luckily his dad's bank rang to confirm the payment which we promptly stopped. They then rang back to say they didn't receive payment, gave their employee number for us to check with the company's phone number. Quite convincing. Got on to our service provider to & had to pay $90 for a one-off sweep for malware. How gullible.....

got a call from "universal technical care" "simon watson" who said i had computer errors and they were calling me to fix them. They wanted to advise of the security number on my PC to "prove" they were legit... which is highly unlikely. After telling them that the computer wasnt even here (true) I said i had no contract with anyone and will verify it with my own service providers to their legitimacy ... which I knew would be a scam... but they were very persistent and sounded very official and so forth... but they are not... so just posting this so others can beware if anyone hears from them... this is a scam... and they will try and convince you otherwise. take care people!
