Same scam attempt in Mount Barker SA

Have five calls originating from 80730569 and one from 91192916 over the past four days. They're relentless. Didn't bother calling back. Just checked online instead and searched on the number. The above posts confirmed our suspicions. Yes, a complete scam.

Scam - caller poses as ATO rep and advises no particular householder that a warrant is out for arrest due to tax evasion. For a start, ATO would contact Tax Agent not individual. Do not call back on this number.

DEFINITELY A SCAM !!!

Callers from this number claiming to be from the Australian Tax Office.
They quickly hung up when I began to ask questions.
I then rang the ATO about this number. I was told that the ATO would NOT call from such a number, the calls are originating OFFSHORE, and of course the ATO would NOT hang up on me.

This was a call back number for a call informing us there was an illegal tax evasion and that the government had issued a warrant for our arrest. SCAM!!!!

BOGUS - caller says they are from the 'government' and have issued an arrest warrant for an illegal tax debt. There are several people in this household and caller did not say whom the message was for and did not leave any case or reference number.
