Caller: Supposedly Bank of Queensland

Was at BOQ branch when call made to my mobile - checked with BOQ staff member, who double checked with their branches and the number does not belong to any of their Sydney branches. Caller phoned a second time about one hour later, and on both occasions did not leave a message, Number is only one digit different from the Telstra scams that are currently doing the rounds.

Call purports to be from BOQ but I rang my local branch and they confirmed it's not them, it's a scam - and that there is also a BOQ text scam doing the rounds.

Had the same call myself this morning, voicemail notified me that I had a missed call. Checked voicemail, but no mesage left at all. Have had this type of call many times over the last couple of years. I have blocked the number several times, but because I was on another call this morning, hence voicemail automatically picked it up.

Stated they were from BOQ but could not provide the genuine customer service line when I asked. I called it back and the call centre menu was wrong to when I have called BOQ in the past.

Multiple calls supposed to be BOQ. Electronic message saysmy name then press 1 to continue. Have ignored

Persistent unsolicited calling 14-20 March 2024.
Suspect it’s a scam - have not picked up to confirm.

Definitely a fraud women impersonating the Bank of Queensland

Obviously still doing the rounds - started with "this is BOQ" so immediately hung up as number not familiar. Looked on this site and my suspicions seem to be confirmed

Caller: Genuine call from BOQ

This is a genuine call from BOQ.
They stated a case that only BOQ could know.

Advise it is a call from BOQ, I ignored it the first time then pressed no. 1 the 2nd time - I hope this does not present a problem for me. Maybe this has to do with the Optus leak and it is there way to find out who you bank with.
