Anyone can dial in any number - by accident or on purpose, there is no way ANY government can do anything to stop that. You are being irrational and unrealistic. The government can't fix EVERYthing, they are not magicians. There is no way you can police this. No government no matter who, can.

if our goverment czn6t do anything about these scam callers why should we vote for them they are the same arent they promises promises to no avail I'd rather pay the $35 fine and not vote for a goverment that does not look after its people and those voters who vote

An Insurance Company not identifying itself asking you to leave your contact details to opt-out or receive another call back. Otherwise they keep calling you anyway... Report it to ACCC

Calling Regularly, with a Recorded message "Goodbye" or harassment of sales...

When callers take so long to speak when you have answered and number allegedly from Sydney(02) you know it's an offshore linkup to that number. Therefore a scam or fraudulent or anything to get details and money out of unsuspecting people. Block this number. Eg.Businesses like telstra or private rooms in hospitals buy blocks of numbers that don't go through their switchboard. While some numbers may appear legit research so far has found 10% of these unused numbers are sucked up by robots and scan for any dialled number not blocked. Beware.

Ring daily and hang up. Just block them.
