Asked for company's name, website and if the ABN was on their website. Lady on the phone said yes and told me the website was compareenergy.com which doesn't exist.

If you try calling the number back it will just play music non-stop and nothing else.

Clearly a scam phone call.

Call me and claimed the company was "Energy Expert" and that they where authorized by Origin, AGL and all other energy providers to service to me. I spoke to Jenifer with an Indian accent. She asked me what I paid in my last electricity bill. I made up a number and said $120 with 15% discount. She said I was very luck and that they could offer me 45% and that my bill would be under $100. I told her that she could not make that statement as she did not know my feed in and feed out tarif. I made up some more numbers and told I am charged at 17c/kwh and I get 11c/kwh from my solar (I wish). She said they can do better and offer 15c/kwh.
By this time I had search ASIC and google online and could not find any registered company call Energy Expert. So I told her that I did not want to accept any deals from her as her company was not registered. Knew my name, was wanting to "make sure had best deal on energy bill"

Addressed me by surname... Told them no one lived here by that name and hung up..

Claimed they were from Energy Experts and were going to offer me big discounts off my energy bills.

She didn't know who I was, but claimed the energy account for my home was related to the phone number she had called me on.

When I told her no it wasn't as this was a private work number, she hung up immediately.

Extremely rude- addressed me by the wrong name (wrong person entirely) and when I said I was not that person nor do I have an electricity account and hung up they continued to call back.

Obvious scam, I reject calls and block number.

Caller: Claims he was from energy experts.

Called me by my name and when I asked where he got my name from he very smugly told me he had my address as well then he asked me if I wanted a 40% cut on my energy bill. I said no thanks and hung up. This guy had an Indian accent and what worries me is how do these people get this sort of personal information.

Keeps calling but hangs up as soon as I answer. I've blocked them

Caller: Lady with a foreign accent

Claimed to be from a company that works for all electricity providers and could get me a 25% discount on my bill. Ha yeah right. Wanted my electricity bill details, told them to stop scamming people and hung up.

Scammer - Indian Accent

Keep calling. And never introduce themselves until I asked and said they want to save my electricity bill.

Caller: unprofessional Marketting

When i picked up the call, the guy said hi this is Nathen, and started giggling and giggling and chatting with his counterpart. Stupid and annoying.

Claim to be from an energy company. Asked to speak to the person the electricity bill. I said if they were from an energy company then they would know who that was. They knew my first name and surname, which worries me. I am not registered on any electricity bills, so I called him a scammer and he told me it was all in my mind

Caller: Energy Department

SCAM - called saying they were from the energy department and when I asked for what company they said they worked for AGL, Energy Australia, Origin, etc,etc. Knew my First Name and Surname and kept asking if the energy bill was under my name.

called me from 'Energy Expert' which is obviously a fake company - told me I have a great record and always pay my bills on time but that they can give me a better rate. When I said the electricity bill isn't in my name and that I have asked to be taken off the calling list multiple times she hung up

Found two missed calls on the place phone. I rang the number several times and it always timed out. I presume it's spam which has moved to spoofing another number.

I always hang up after I say hello if they don't say anything. ALL these spam callers always wait for you to say hello twice before they start talking. Absolutely annoying and ridiculous!
