just had a call from this number. When I answered it was a machine that stated 'Sorry there is no one to take your call right now, please call back later'.

I have no intention of calling back cause I did not call in the first place.

I answered - it was the Asthma foundation asking if I wanted to purchase raffle tickets.

As above. A call every day, but not long enough to answer or they hang up when you answer. No message

Rings at random times for maybe 3 or 4 rings, possibly before the answering machine turns on, or to check if anyone at home. I have put them on my do not answer register!

Ring for a max of 3-4 rings then hang up, obviously before answering machine or to check if you are home. On my do not answer register!

rings at random times - phone only rings 2-3 times so rarely have chance to get to it before they hang up :/

Same here, ring at odd times, never leave a message

4 times in last week I have received a call from This number. No idea who it is or what they want as they either hang up as i answer or dont leave a message when iM not home. Really annoying.
