Am on donot call register and still receiving unwanted calls.

Received call from this number tonight. It is the Institute for the Deaf & Blind selling raffle tickets.

I get multiple calls from this number too. I signed up for the Do Not Call register a few years ago but to be honest, it did nothing.
In the end I just had to block this number from my phone.

This number has called 3 times in the last 12 hours. No voicemail is left. No idenification. Can anyone tell me who is making these calls?

The caller is claiming to be from the 'Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children' as per their recorded message when the number is dialed. Website: http://www.ridbc.org.au/The calls from this number are most likely legitimate otherwise the police would have closed their operation.It is most likely that a telemarketing company is fundraising on behalf of the RIBDC but volunteers may also be calling on their behalf.

Yes I got called by them too. I think they have called multiple times in the last 48 hours. Next time my phone rings I might actually answer it, just to get them in trouble for hassling me after I put my name on the "do not call" list.

I have a message on my answering machine that says "if you are a telly marketer please remove this no. from your calling list otherwise leave a message because I'm probably listening.  That way friends or business calls aren't missed and I don't waste my time.  I have caller id.
