I missed calls from this number so I rang the number back and was put through to a person taking messages for Australian Credit and Finance at this number. I asked that my mobile number be removed from their calling list. They assured me that the message would be passed on. I have just missed 2 more calls from this same number. I have now sent a very heated email to the emails address listed against this company. I'll have to wait and see if that gets any results.

Claire, your bank is probably the one that sold your number on to the telemarketers.

They get your details from "Brand leaders" when you enter competitions and surveys online.

I am getting hammered by these people on my mobile. Thanks for telling me who they are. I will answer my phone next time and tell them to "b---er off".

I don't think our banks are selling our phone numbers, considering these telemarketers are supposedly trying to sell you a mortgage which might take your business away from your bank. Especially since the telemarketer himself had no idea which bank I was with, and didn't even know I don't have a mortgage. I'd like to know if anyone does know where they get our personal info from?

I have had 5 phone calls from these people in the last 2 hours. I have put them on my blocked list but I get a message after each call to say it was blocked.

Australian Credit and Finance keep calling to refinance a mortgage that I don't even have and have no idea which bank I do business with yet want to ask for personal information. They are a pain in the backside calling all the time. If you can BLOCK the number

I keep getting phonically from this number and they also said it was from Australian Credit and Finance and I let them know that I could be reached on a phone number as there was a receptionist taking messages.
I freaked out thinking they were a debt collection company or something and that I had no idea what it was regarding.
After reading these I am going to block the number

Received a call from these guys today. Saying they have my finance details but needed to confirm who I have my mortgage with. I said it was none of their business, asked where they're from for clarification and then after not telling her information she hung up on me.

Yes - it was Australian Credit and Finance - not sure how they got my number either; I waited to speak to someone and they said something about wanting to talk to me about my mortgage. I stopped the conversation, they may not know much about my financial situation (the mortgage may be a lucky guess) and I don't want to give them any more information. I am guessing telemarketer as my bank would be talking to me otherwise :)

Yes Australian Credit and Finance - these guys are persistent and do not get the message. Rang me 3 days in a row, each time I told them I have no interest in what they wanted to talk to me about - mortgage refinancing. met with, but don't you want to save money? told them to take me off their call list after 3rd day, lets see if they call again.

this is just people selling home mortgage stuff...insurance etc
