Lady saying she was from Woolies. She knew my first name and was asking for all my other details to 'verify if she has the right account' but refused to say what the call was about. Incidentally I was on my way to Woolies to get my click and collect order so I could have easily been scammed. It sounded convincing at the same time suspicious so be wary of these calls.

I had a similar call. Man reportedly from Woolworths Online. Had my first name, wanted me to give him a whole bunch of personal details to confirm my ID before continuing with the call. I said, "no I'm not giving you my personal information." He asked if he could call back another time. I repeated myself and hung up. I had a woolies online order delivered that day, so could have easily been scammed. These people are so dodgy!

Said they were from Woolworths but the guy sounded shady as hell. Asked me for my details right away and couldn't tell me what they were calling about. I hung up on them.

100% legit. Woolworths called as they forgot to give us 2 bags of shopping. Don’t ignore this number if you have recently bought from Woolworths.

A young, unprofessional female claimed to be from Woolworths, asking for my last name, and email address. I had only received my order moments before. I asked what wa sir I regards to and she said my order. I told her I received in full when she was pushing me for my details. She replied ‘“are you sure about that?” In a ‘cutesy’ way. I hung up.

Called right after Woolworths order. Haven’t complained about anything and nothing to resolve. Asked for all my details. Only knew my first name and wanted more info.

It's not a scam - it's the Woolies call centre ringing you about an order that has gone wrong or in answer to an online enquiry you have made.

I think legit but I should not need to supply my details to a stranger. You have my number so just tell me what I need to know

(02) 8025 5895 Call was fm Woolworth Online Customer Care and was RE 2 or 3 Marketplace Parcels (Ordered together w/other Woolies Products fm the Woolworth Online). Woolies’ Order was delivered 3 wks ago, AS WELL AS, 1 Parcel out of the 3 of Marketplace Deliveries. The other two had delivery issues that was reported already to their separate delivering Services, IN ADDITION TO, Woolies Online CustCare Centre. The gentleman who called was making sure that I’ve asked for 1 Parcel to be returned to Seller & refunded as I had no means of fetching it fm a distant PICK UP CENTRE after was promised a seamless timely RE-Delivery by an independent Shipping Service (that was previously reported, a few days prior, to Woolies Online Call Centre & Parcel was returned and refund is in process). The 3rd heaviest Parcel remains in TRANSIT & Parcel’s Case was escelated & still process to ensure the RE-delivery is seamless done. He did ask for full name & email address as per the usual procedures of Woolies Online CustCare Centre PLUS the call was recorded w/my permission. But he did NOT clearly & slowly clarify / verify his a)OWN ID, nor his b)JOB Title, or his c)REASON / PURPOSE of this call, UPFRONT. Plus, during the Call, he almost got my 3rd UNDELIVERED (still in transit) Parcel, to be returned & refunded which I did NOT WANT TO DO. In addition, he gave me d)NO REFERENCE NUMBER of my Woolies’ delivered Order neither did he gave me the Reference Numbers of the TWO UNDELIVERED Parcel, although, he did verify the exact purchased product that was not delivered to me but was later returned to Marketplace Seller (that was confirmed by email & my double checking Call, yesterday). He was unnecessary cautious AND seemed to be in a hurry, yet, that can make it feels off. On my part, I should have requested of him fm the start to SLOWLY give his details & clearly state his purpose of this Call ALSO give me the Order Reference Number so that we both R on the same track. The Call was 30+ minutes & it was from Woolworth. Thanks & Stay Safe.

Rang and wanted to follow up on an issue I had with click and collect. Said issue was resolved, said he needed to follow up. Wanted my personal details, including email address, Asked him to tell me what it was that had to be resolved, but he went on again wanting my details first. Asked him again for issue details wouldn't say. (I was given diced beef instead of stir fry beef, girl went back into store and returned with what I ordered, no problem no issue situation resolved.) At the end he told me that if I did participate I would be penalised and could not go to woolies stores and that he would send an email (which I have not and that was 30mins ago. I said I was not going to participate in the conversation anymore and hung up.

Digital voice was going to transfer me to agent then wanted to confirm some details first. Asked for my date of birth. Why would Woolworths need that detail. Sounded like a scam so I terminated the call with providing details.

This is a legit Woolworths number, that may be used if a delivery driver needs to find where you are. However Sophisticated scammers are spoofing the real Woolworths number to gain information. They will call you conveniently just after an order you make and call you by your first name. This is not Woolworths. This is a scam. A delivery driver does not need to know your last name date of birth email etc.

Indian caller said he was from Woolworths mobile about my account. I told him difficulties have been resolved. Instead of saying "Oh, OK" and hanging up he started pressing me for my FULL LEGAL NAME and DATE OF BIRTH. Not necessary. I said no, and hung up. Look, the other people who commented this is "legit" on this number look like perps who are supporting this scam. Never give any details to a caller who calls YOU. Be safe guys :) I reckon some woolies data is compromised/hacked.

Claimed to be Woolworths Melbourne about an Inquiry I made, I went to Woolworths one time to get apple juice, got my apple juice and left. No further purchases or inquiries were made nor could identify a specific location in Melbourne. I’ve only been in VIC for a day now.

I have social anxiety and do not give my number out to anybody aside from family members and close friends.

He asked for my first and last name to which I hung up, I don’t want to be put on a future call list.
No further call has been made.
