I called the Telstra 'unwanted calls' section (my phone account is with them). The opperator recognised the number (meaning previous complaints). She had a number to the company which she called and asked them to remove my number off their automatic dialling etc list. They did so and I have since not recived any calls from them. Hope this helps in the short-term.

they just keep calling and dont leave a voicemail. i rang one back and got sydney financial services reception too.
i got nothing to do with them, so said goodbye.
ive rung telstra in the past for a trace to be put on the line for unwanted calls, they are about to get another call to report this.

Actually, I believe that if the calls are coming out from your numbers, these are not scam calls but it is your people calling to our numbers for whatever reason I don't know.
I am in southamerica at the moment and I am getting these calls between 2AM and 4AM. I can not sleep and I will have to pay ridiculous roaming charges of up to AUD10 per minute because of these people as I can not just turn off my phone and disconnect myself from my family in Australia.
I have never authorized, neither requested to get any calls about anything. This is equivalent to spam e-mail which is illegal, is there any law that can protect us from people like this?

Yeah,I just got a call from these scammers on my mobile.I didnt answer because i didnt recognise the Sydney no.I rang it back on our silent no. and got the "Financial Advice Centre" crap.Anyone got any idea who and what they are besides dodgy?Cheers.
