This number called me 3 times today 19/6/14, but I didn't answer it. They keep ringing me for over 2 months. I just ignore them but feel quite annoying. Could someone do something for stop this number?

They call me occasionally now. Every time they ring me I give them a chance to speak, then I tell them that I have Funeral insurance through Insurance Line & they leave me alone for a couple of months. No need to get mad. Just kill them with niceness. While all the while you are Bull shi$$ing to them. LOL They get the message after a while. You've got to understand that they are people just trying to do their job in some hot sweaty call centre in India. The real losers are Insurance line for entrusting their sales to Indian call centres that don't let you get a word in edge ways!

Calling me every day. I have not answered numerous times but when I do they just hang up. When I call back it is funny music. SO sick of it! They call any of time of day or night.

I am glad that I found this site. I received 6 calls just today and have been getting them for a while. I have now put the number into my phone reject list. I shall however put the do not call onto my mobile phone number. It's disgusting the lengths people will go to to drum up business.
Thank you everyone for all your help with your comments. I'm just glad that I have never answered any calls from that number.

I have been receiving calls from the number 8014-2179 four or five times a day.
Very annoying. Now I have looked on line and found I'm not the only one receiving
calls from this number. I don't answer, still they continue to ring for the last five
days.

The company uses an auto-dialer to retrieve your mobile number as well as some telecommunications companies on-selling your number (and sometimes your details) to third party marketing companies. We used to do this at Telstra, Vodafone and also Three. Worst part is now that a lot of the companies use offshore contractors, some of the individuals sell your details illegally to marketing companies as well.

Have been called by this number numerous times during the past two weeks. Have left two voicemails telling them not to call and also had stern words with the usual impossible to understand person on the other end. No luck. They called again this morning so I lodged a complaint with the Telecommnications Industry Ombudsman 1800 062 058) who said it's also the responsibility of your service provider to stop the calls. They said as it's an insurance product, you can complain to the Fiancial Ombudsman too on 1300 780 808.

Once I heard the usual connection delay and waited long enough to hear the usual smarmy introduction, I gave "John" short shrift and said I'd be adding his number to my long list of nuisance numbers. :P

Hallow everyone
This is Masum and I just received a call from one of the number mentioned and then I asked him to help me getting rid of my number from their lists then I explained that I am receiving so many calls from these companies so if he knows anyway to help me stop these calls,
Then he gave me this website address.
www.donotcall.gov.au
Which is a website provided by government body and can be used to stop sales peoples call to your number and it is valid for 8 years. So register your number with them then it will take 30 days and after that there will be no more calls from these sales people. But if you still receive calls from them after 30 days then please lodge a complaint through that website I believe it will damage that company pretty badly.

This company must have an unlimited supply of numbers, so far I have blocked (03) 9001 8627, (03) 6251 3902, (02) 4392 0250 & (03) 9999 0050. Seriously,who buys funeral insurance from an organisation like this?

This "company" has called a number of times. Answered 5 minutes ago and it was an insurance line asking if I have funeral insurance. When I said I work in insurance and asked to be put on their do not call register for the 3rd time (I'm already on the main register), the guy hung up. Called back, got an answering machine.

These idiots have been calling me for weeks sometimes 4-5 times a day. I don't answer numbers I don't know but I might answer next time and threaten them with court action over harassment worked with optus..

Blocked this number after reading this thread,the number connects to a ext 999 is unavailable. They hang up when I answer my phone to them

This number called our home and claimed to be from a collection agency when they finally answered, I hung up on them and went to the nearest phone box and rang the number a Canadian sounding voice (answering machine) said that that numbers mail box was full and could not accept the call but then gave me all these ('s for an extention number which I didn't ring, also failed to give me the name of the alleged collection agency.
