Caller: Scammers Apparently my IP address has been switched from Private to Public.
Now knowing a thing or two about how IP’s work, every IP has a public number and then your local network has internal private network addressees.
Everything they said was false, claiming my internet is from Telstra etc and needed to pay to fix it but also wanted me to grant access to my computer to help them fix it.
The number they called has no home internet listed for starters, secondly, I have no home internet, nor a home computer, and thirdly when I said that’s not how IPs work he said “Oh, okay, sounds like you know a bit more than most” then he hung up.
Clearly a scam trying to prey on those who don’t know better
