I received the same phone call on 08/02/2019. When I asked them about my account number with Telstra, they couldn’t provide it and they cut the call soon after.

Caller: Oliver (Indian or Pakistani accent)

Claimed I had unwanted virus files on my computer, and claimed they were from Telstra. I asked them if I could call him back and he gave me the a/m number as the caller ID advised it was a blocked number.

Caller: Said they where from Telstra

claimed i had unwanted virus files on my computer, when questioned about my account details hung up!

Caller: Alexander Wilson of Telstra

A real dumb woman phoned me from Telstra asking for me to sign into an IP address, She had poor English and no knowledge of computing - I questioned her extensively. Eventually her Supervisor who works for Telstra Technical Support (Alexander Wilson) took over the call. He had no idea of my account details, I told him I would phone him back by going through the Telstra Switchboard, I asked for Division (Technical Support) and employee number ZC2658. Of course I didn't phone him back and I will advise Telstra.
