Caller: Number above .. no name provided

Caller (male with asian accent) advised they were from ATO (no name), and asked for my tax file details so they could access and pull up my tax files .. told them no - that this was not an appropriate request from ATO and that I would not be providing any details; caller accepted that and hung up.

I rang back the number (02) 8011 4099 once but got disconnected

Australian Tax Department would send a message via My Gov if that was genuinely them - DEFINITELY a scammer

Pre recorded message talking about someone abusing your tax file number so you will be arrested and tax file number being suspended. Scammer no doubt.

Recorded message was played to advise that there has been some fraudulent activities on my Tax file number and ATO is investigating further before taking legal action.

I suspect this is a ATO scam. The auto machine said there are some issues with my TFN and they found that it is fraudulent. My TFN will be suspended if I don't talk to them and provide more details.I was asked to press 1 to go ahead with the process, but I didn't.
