This is the well known "This is the ATO and there is a warrant out for your arrest" scam. The fact that the phone number was answered when I rang back (my I.D. blocked) so I would suggest that this number and the details be reported to the ACCC Scam watch. I don't know if it will help but it might. This call was received less than 5 minutes after I got my regular "You have a problem with your computer" call. These telephone and internet frauds are getting out of control.

Just had one of these tax office, federal police,court action etc etc calls . Recorded message .Hung up straight away .

SCAM message purporting to be Federal Police and ATO

Auto message saying they were the federal government and they had received a complaint from the ATO. They wanted a call back.

Claimed to be from the ATO and said there was an arrest warrant out for me and to call back on this number

Received AFP and ATO SCAM call from this number. HANG UP IMMEDIATELY. The tax office would address you by name and the message is from a male recorded voice.

Returned their call today and wasted about 20 minutes of their time. Idiots!
