Caller: Allegedly Vodafone AU Indian accent - sounded to be stood in an area of busy traffic.
Told me I’d qualified for 40% discount and I was a golden prize winner. Sent verification PIN. Also knew full details about my plans, inclusions, numbers etc. confirmed my address and email. asked me for my Voda PIN and DoB.
I immediately called customer service - to report a possible scam. Initially couldn’t find any record of the call.
A second caller then called me - different Indian accent - I merged the calls and asked the 2 (supposed) voda staff to verify the other!
This second caller’s validation text was visible to the agent I called.
Not sure whether my rate has been reduced or what my gold prize is!
I believe it could have been Voda (if not, they knew too much about me!!!) - but more likely - a poorly trained call centre

Caller: Vodafone I received a call from this number and they said that they were calling from Vodafone. They had a very strong Indian accent. They were giving a 40% discount on my existing bill. They even asked me to verify a code that was sent to the phone number. I’m not really sure if this is genuine or a scam.
