I too just received  a call from Harry Wilson from 'Help Desk of Windows Operating System' asking for me and calling on my home number.  I don't recall giving my home number out when buying my most recent computer (he said that's the one I needed to be in front of).  I told him to call me on my mobile, records of which he would have and he told me he was only allowed to call customers on their home number.    The number he told me to call him back on was (02) 8006 1421.

I had a call about 3 weeks ago, and it sounded suss, so I hung up..... just had another one today, and decided to let him think I was falling for it..... I spoke to "John Martin"..... and he was very hap[py to give me the number to call him back to verify.... Luckily I check with a friend who is computer savvy!!

Got the same call as well and surely think this is a scum. Something needs to be done about these people before someone get robbed by these people.

My woman was named Pamala Watson with a thick indian accent.. she got so frustrated with my questions that she told me to .. quote.. 'go to hell' before she hung up on me!!It was about 'bugs' in my computer... ugh!

Had the same experience. Two calls this week (I hung up on the first, as his accent was so thick I couldn't understand him and the ambient noise behind him was so loud). They persisted and called back tonight - same scenario as described above.
I was told I need to pay for 1 years protection $109, 2 years $280 and "lifetime" protection, $300+. I refused to pay on the spot in this manner, with nothing in writing etc, and asked for yet more verification that they were who they claimed to be, and was given this phone number to contact also. The senior technician I spoke with was Peter Parker (as if the whole thing wasn't sus enough!)

I received a call from the number (02) 8006 1421 from Kashif Brown claiming to fix my spyware problem. Told me to give him the windows version, i was really suspicious and kept the phone
