I had a call from this number, I don't know 100% that they are a scammer as I didn't do anything they asked, but by the lack of professionalism and their lack on answering the phone when I tried to call them back; I would think they are.

Nonetheless it would be interesting to see if others post under this number, confirming my suspicions.

When they called "mike johnson" said he was from microsoft in north sydney and that my computer was sending msgs of visus' to their system so I was to follow steps, he spoke me through them and then said "what has come up" I said "nothing I'm not doing it" and he said "why did you lie then" I said I would get my father to call him back as I am not computer savvy. He gave me the above number and I questioned how he would know it was me returning the call and he said to quote my name and number. I said what name shall I quote? (at this stage we hadn't used my name at all) and he quoted my mothers surname and initial as it is in the phone book.

My dad returned the call and it goes to his answering machine

They said they were from Microsoft Technical Support, we've just googled them, and the proper number for Microsoft Technical Support in Australia is 13 20 58. They continue to call back, 2 other times.

We called Microsoft and it's definitely a scam. Microsoft will never cold call you.

22/03/12 - I just received a call from this number and they said they were from microsoft in North Ryde Australia and said they have been sent all these errors from my computer and said to download this thing and scan my computer, which i didnt. I started asking them alot of questions so they said they'll call me back tomorrow. DONT DO IT!!! ITS A SCAM!!!They had indian accents btw so it made it sound like they were actually from a call centre lol
