Had a call from this number claiming to be from the Tax Department about a "lawsuit" that was pending because of unpaid tax. This is a well-known scam so I just hung up.

A friend got a call from this guy - he had a strong Indian accent on this number who told her he was from the Australian Taxation Office and that she had not paid her tax. He said that a warrant for arrest would be made. She told him she had paid tax and in the end hung up on him. He did get her name and personal details (address and date of birth) and has her number. So she knows not to trust anybody that calls again. Apparently scammers can use phone numbers that belong to somebody else (it's called spoofing). just don't waste your time listening or talking to these people - hang up

Got a robot call 19th November 2018 saying that this is a call from Taxation Office and there are law suits under my name.100% scam. Don't get trapped.

Someone with indian accent called and said i have debt to Tu and they from ATO Audit. i talked to them and said you guys are scam as i don't directly get calls from ATO and hanged up.

As soon as I answered the phone the machine recorded voice started talking saying I had lawsuit against me and I should call the number back otherwise a warrant for my arrest will be issued. Clearly a scan

Just had a call and message left, saying I had to call them or arrest warrant would be issued. Was a robotic message and not a person.

Just got a call from this number with an automated message saying they are the ATO. Requesting that I call them back. And threatening to make an arrest if I don't call them back.

Yes - just had my 7th call in about 10 days. Fed up with these w**k*rs! Last time I pressed hash & star, in his ear, but he was still there at the end of it. So this time, when he finished all his palaver, I told him "you're an idiot, we all know you are a scam & you are wasting your time" to which he replied "you are a b****y scam!" & said that about 3 times, & then hung up. So now I've decided to say what I said every time, as they might (hopefully) wake up that it's senseless to keep calling my number. SCAMMER CALL

Anthony Jones (strong Indian accent ) from Microsoft Technical Support called me yesterday to let me know that my computer was infected with viruses. Thank God my laptop's screen is broken and I couldn't open my computer. He insisted that it is not screen but virus and he can send a technician to my place (they are desperate to get your details) to fix the problem. He said I need to fill a registration form giving him my personal details. I thought no way and asked him for his name which he gave it to me plus this technical support number (02) 8005 7806. it was on the Wednesday before 4.00pm

Have had a phone call from a bloke with an asian acccent named Daniel Watson saying my computer has been sending windows errpr messages and that I should go to my computer and he would show me how to fix it. Which of course I didn't. He's going to call me back tomorrow. When I asked him how my computer could be sending them messages he replied with that all computers in Australia are linked up to a central server....Yeah RIGHT!!!
Will tell him where to go when he calls back...

Have had two calls from this number. James Franklin with a strong Indian accent from "Windows technical service department" wanted me to log on "quickly" because my computer had "serious hidden viruses" that he needed to help me remove. Sounded suspicious
to me.

A dead set scam.
Some guy with an Indian accent claiming to be Elton Watson from Technical Department Windows, and actually gave me as his office address Microsoft at Epping Rd, North Ryde.
Knowing Microsoft do not phone unrelated consumers, I played along to see where this would take me. He avoided a lot of direct questions about the "virus" reports they were receiving, but finally I insisted he quote a specific date - this did not correlate with anything listed in my computer's event viewer. He wanted me to launch my browser and go to "Team Viewer". Any further and that would have enabled him to have remote access to my computer. That was the time I called him a scam artist and hung up.

Just had a call from this number, informing me that our computer was being filled with viruses, I told victor jones (strong indian accent) i would call him back, searching this number led me here. I want be calling back!

15/8/11 just got a call from this number. David Watson from Microsoft Technical Support. Claimed they were receiving error messages from one of our computers and could we please log it on. Lucky we only have Apple's here so obviously a scam

Got a call from these guys. It's a scam dead and true.

had one of these calls also they were very persistant and rang back many times no doubt this is a scam
