Caller: email with scam phone number Due to the recent data breaches here in Australia, I received an email with a PayPal pdf. As I was expecting a number of PayPal pdf accounts, I thought this one was genuine. As soon as I read the contents, I couldn't delete that pdf soon enough, change a few passwords and run a complete deep security scan of my computers! Paranoid much about my PC security? Absolutely!
Apparently... a brand new $669.99 iPhone was on it's way to me and if I didn't happen to make that purchase I was to phone +61(02) 8005 6547 immediately to dispute that transaction. Firstly, no personal details (name, address etc) were in that pdf. Secondly, A brand new iPhone ONLY costing $669.99...... yeah, not. AND most importantly - This little Lucy watches Scammer Payback, Kit Boga and Jim Browning.
