I just got a phone call from some guy with an indian accent who claimed to be from Microsoft and wanted to help me with a "problem with my windows firewall that my computer has been reporting to Microsoft"Straight away I was suspect of this dude, especially when he wanted me to go to the computer and he was gonna tell me how to fix it. He gave me a dodgy number ( 02 800 52528 ) when I asked for one and told me it was a Sydney help desk number. I pretty much told the guy to go jump in a lake and gave him an email address where he could email me the details of this so called problem.  When I looked on the internet I found a web page of people reporting exactly this scam http://blogs.msdn.com/b/securitytipstalk/arch ... dex=10#commentsIf you look at the link above you will see that the number he gave me is listed by another person reporting the same problem.What scares me is that he asked for my girlfriend by name, who is maybe not so switched on about computers and might have been taken in. Just received a call from "James Smith" claiming to be from Microsoft and in response to an error on my computer.I asked for his number and name, which he gave me and then started abusing me and swearing at me when I asked for the name of the company.This is clearly a scam.
