Received call on my mobile and when answered a recorded message said "Goodbye". Call has extra zeros at the front of the number so probably an app to set caller ID.

Told them they had already tried to scam me and to never call me again. South African accent caller said, “I will call you again, I will”. Laughed and blocked the number.

Got a missed call from this number - called it back, but when I heard some old dude with an accent I just hung-up because I don't know any old fellas living in NSW who would need to speak to me.

Ditto here as well. It is a worry that our phone numbers are being passed around and the Do Not Call Register doesn't work.

Caller from this number was male with foreign accent, phoned around midday, asked "Are you the owner of ... (the rest was unintelligible). I said, "Sorry, I can't hear you. Am I the owner of what?" He said, "Are you the owner of ... (he was even louder now, so his words were more distorted)" I said, "It must be a bad line, because I can't hear you!" Shouting even more loudly, he said "ARE YOU THE OWNER?" I laughed and said, "Everybody owns lots of things. Owner of what?" Then there was silence, and my mobile was showing 'Call Ended'. He hung up on me! :-)

Indeed, the caller actually wrongly pronounced a name of another person and then correct it - after some pause. a marketing call.

Indian voice called my mobile - knew my name and my home address, selling solar panels. Wanted to come to my home to give me a quote. I asked how he got my number and for it to be removed from their call list/database and he disconnected without immediately.
