I let it go through to messagebank and the garble that was left on my phone was similar to those tax department scams. Block number

Apparently saying there is a court case and need to call back to avoid arrest

Automated message Said they were tax dept and sent paperwork which was sent back unsigned so they were putting a warrant out for my arrest

Claiming a problem with taxation documents - scam

Caller: Apparently the ATO

So the recorded message told me that I will be arrested if I don't deal with my Tax issue .... so I rang them back and it was an indian gentleman by the name of Officer David Proud from the ATO who wanted my full name and address. I asked him if he needed my tax file number - of course I supplied none of this. I then asked how I could have an outstanding debt since I am a non working single mother (I am not). He then hung up on me

Robotic message claiming the ATO had a warrant for my arrest. Called back number and it was a busy call centre, and a man with an Indian accent started talking pornographically.

when I returned the call they claimed to be the Australian Tax Office.

Says you've filed tax incorrectly and there's a warrant for your arrest. Pfft.
