Got a call today, it's a scam.

Recorded message claiming to be the taxation office & that there is a warrant for arrest etc including a file number of the case & to call the number. It's very threatening. Clearly spam, but still upsetting to hear. No person is mentioned so who are they threatening?

Very threatening call regarding tax lawsuits and to call them on (02) 8003 3254. Blocked.

A call from them to say they are from the tax office. Can i report to police.?

Same here. Threatening message from "the taxation department" just ignored it. Don't know why people do this. What do they get out of it?

Yep this is a scam, warrant is out for your arrest due to a taxation issue and requesting you ring this number! the tax office would never call. anything legal in australia is sent via mail. Besides who is this for we are in a share house, it doesn't say who they are trying to scam!

My Mum, a pensioner, received this call and a message was left on her home phone. She was very extremely upset by the threating nature of this call.

This is someone posing as Australian Federal Police in relation to the Tax Office. Its a Scammer. Don't answer this number. Dont give them any personal details.

Received a computer generated call from this number. The computer said that is was the Federal Police, and that I had a tax debit and I would be find or sent to jail.It gave the members of my local men's shed some thing to laugh about dueing our coffee break.
