Sounded like a call centre. They hung up as soon as I said hello.

I’ve previously blocked them as the idea of telling them no gives me anxiety. It’s a good charity, but their calls are more frequent then I’d like. Royal Fire Service Australia, good cause, has several numbers.

Caller: An Indian women

She was trying to tell me someone had made a payment from my bank account to someone in America. I said I had not done any such thing and she said I can cancel that for you- and proceeded to ask me to open things on my phone. This has to be a scam I have checked my account and nothing is wrong. She obviously is a scammer trying to get my money!

Another one of those calls that do not speak when you answer the phone.

Did not leave a message, i have received numerous phone calls from this number. I have now blocked them in light of this thread.

This caller said my electricity a/c was going to be disconnected. Now blocked.

Call centre. Female with foreign accent. Knew my surname. About electricity saying I was entitled to discount. I said I've sorted out my electricity thanks, and hung up. Then blocked number. Next one I get, which will be from another number, I'll ask what feed-in tariff rate they'll pay and for how long.

They knew my first name and started talking about my energy bill. Sounded like a call centre with Indian accent. Dropped the call as first off I am on a do not call list and whatever offer is irrelevant to me.

Called number back. Optus advises this number is disconnected.
