Caller: Suspected scammer They 1st called me from a slightly different number I suspected it to be a scammer as I don't know anyone who has a (02) 8000 2551 number and it's Australia day which is a public holiday no businesses should be ringing today, 🤔 just over an hour had passed by than they tried calling me again but from 02 800 2550 I hung up on that call too and put that number into the blacklist on my phone 📱 I'm still 100% sure it's scammer's trying their best to scam me!

I said I am not using Telstra, he said yes, Telstra was the mother network and some problems were detected in my network. And then asked me how many devices I was using, and used the computer and he will show me "something" but of course nothing, and he needed to talked with his manager, let me wait a moment. And I hang up. Too stupid.

Caller: Indian lady Yet another Scam call. Claimed that she was Lisa from the Mastercard verification team and that there had been a suspicious payment from my account for $900. Thought I’d play along for a while and when I said I didn’t have a Mastercard she then changed it to debit card. When I asked what bank it was, she said Commonwealth. When I said that was interesting because I don’t have a commonwealth bank account surprise surprise she hung up straight away.

Caller: Someone who claimed to be from Telstra They called my work number and said they were from Telstra. They said they detected some fraudulent activity from the Internet connection from this phone. I told them that this was a work phone I was assigned when I started my role and advised them to contact my manager. They said they would contact my manager and hung up. Strange that they did not verify who I or "my manager" was.

Spoke to them, it was a recorded message that leads to a scammer saying your internet will be disconnected. Claims to be from telstra but hangs up the second you let them know you are an IT professional. Their entire story is BS.

Caller: (02) 8000 2550 Was watching a video about a guy wasting scammers time when I got this call. They hung up straight away and it was obviously a scam call, but I thought it was a funny coincidence that I was watching something like that at the time of the call.
