Trying to tell me the NSW government is providing free heat pumps for hot water!

Tried 7 times in 3 days now. Never leaves a message. Identified as a scammer in my call blocking app.

Block this person asap

Caller: allegedly "Michael Edwards" from the "Security department of the Commonwealth Bank"

Upon answering, delay in connection, then sounds of a busy call centre. Caller hung up when I repeated his name and told them they had the wrong number. Scam call followed another identical scam call from a mobile phone number. Number is now blocked and reported as a phishing/scam attempt.

To these calls I normally start with different languages other than English on purposes, he tried to trick me with a word in Spanish, bad luck to him I can talk a bit Spanish myself. He actually asked me what is the language n meaning of what I was saying. Then ask if I speak English, I said NO. Then he tried Mandarin, n I replied with Japanese. He laughed n nicely said to me "Have a great day".

The usual bullsh*t scams wanting bank details

told me they were from nsw government and i was eligible for a free hot water system upgrade. sounded like a scam to me

Told me that they were ringing on behalf of the NSW government and I had to disclose my bank account details to clear up some confusion about suspicious transactions I told them where to go and hung up they called back and threatened to kill me and mutilate my body
