If a number shows up, and it's not in my contacts, I don't answer it. Then I come here and check it out. Accordingly, it is from some dodgy outfit.

Silence on picking up then they hang up. I was told it was a bot that rings numbers and logs if the number rinds Shen logs again if answered. Then thus info goes to sakes or scammers as live numbers.

I have been getting a lot of silent calls from numbers starting with 02 7251 xxxx

No message left, must be a scammer. Another number blocked

They hung up when it went to voicemail.

I assume it's a scam call - the caller hung up when I answered.

Missed call, no message left. Phone identified it as possible spam, blocked and deleted

So why doesn't the Telco take action?

Woman from Un-named charity scam. I stated on DNC then I hung up

Hangs up when answered - scammer call log system - if you answer the call, your number then gets sent back into the scam list and/or sold on to other scammers to use (as an active number).

Just hangs up as soon as you answer

Answered the call saying Hello. No response from the caller then, after a short time of silence, the caller ended the call. As the other post says "probably a scammer".
