Caller: Ur Community

Phone call received allegedly from this charity. Caller (female voice) sounded like it was from a voice response phone system. Then transferred to the supervisor (female) who assured me the previous was a real person just that her communication skill level was low. Why use such a person until you have a reasonable skill level? Supervisor quoted the charity's ABN (available on public records), a 1300 number & her name & employee number. Quoting employee number is same thing Telstra scammers used to do. If you are able to verify the number, you will not be able to verify you are talking to the person who owns the employee number. She wanted a donation via credit card. When I said that I don't have a credit card she wanted my bank account details (BSB + Account number) to enable them to withdraw my "regular pledge". I said give me the charity's bank account information & I will do a transfer. SURPRISE, SURPRISE, she didn't have access to that information so I said "Your loss, Goodbye" & hung up. Likely Scammer!

We took the call. Said we were getting numerous similar foe weeks. Asked them to remove our number from their database. We shall see!

Woman would not stop talking and let me get a word in. When I said that I don't want to donate any money today she rudely hung up.....then they ring me again the next day!!!!!!Bah hahahaha!!!!!!

Another scammer blocked

Rang and didn't leave a message, followed a couple of hours later by a similar 725X XXXX number which makes it suspiciously like random telemarketing..

Phoned at 8pm. Didn’t answer. No message left

I didn't take call on this occasion. I have had many similar calls from "Your Community Fundraising Centre". There is no such organisation.
