Caller: Pretending to be fraud team Credit Card Company

They said they were the Fraud dept of the credit card company and asked if I had made large purchases on my credit card (Amazon and Ebay) which they thought looked suspicious (I hadn't). Presented as genuine and empathetic - and of course the alarm is when they asked for details to confirm my identify - credit card number. Also didn't want to cancel my card - wanted to add increased security for online transactions (all to protect me).
If they call you, just call your credit card provider to check if there are unapproved payments. That's what I did who confirmed this is a scam - and cancelled the card. Sad thing is they will catch others out as they come across as genuine.
