Caller: Scammers Warning: Possible Chinese Scammers targeting Chinese Australians etc. Visit SCAMwatch online for further information.
Time: 2:14 PM Monday 4th August 2025. Missed call from phone number (02) 7238 5658 a variation of another phone number that called me on the same day which was phone number (02) 7238 5660.
Assuming that these calls are by the same scammers.
There was a voicemail playing a recorded message from this “caller “ stating: Press 1 for English and 2 for Chinese and then a voice speaking in Chinese and then that is the end of the message. I assume this is to do with the well known Chinese scammer calls that has been circulating for years now.
Location of the phone number is Sydney Australia, probably spoofed number.
I’m reporting it via online form on website: SCAMwatch Australia and suggest that anyone who receives calls from the same number or a variation of the phone numbers to report as well to SCAMwatch online.
