Caller: HCF

Had a missed call from this number. I put my number on private and called back. HCF. I am in the process of switching health insurance and they are my previous fund.

Caller: Scam

This number is part of an elaborate scam. They called me (sounded like a lady with Asian accent) pretending to be HCF and said my account was in arrears. I had a new mobile number so immediately knew somehow it had been leaked. I then questioned them and asked them to email me and hung up. To my surprise they did email me, so they somehow got my mobile, first AND middle name and my email. The email was not professionally written (same with their phone manner) with no HCF signature BUT it was from a myhcf.com.au domain… spoofed? This scam could definitely work on someone who was not in the security industry

I’ve blocked over 20 variations of this number. Sometimes I get 3 calls a day and if I answer they hang up. Getting beyond a joke. Do Not Call register doesn’t make any difference.
