Caller: Iconic Cleaning

Phone rang and immediately hung up before leaving a message. Given the 02722 range belongs to Symbio - a VoIP provider that's been in constant trouble with ACMA for allowing their services to be used by telemarketers etc I did some digging. I didn't have to dig too much, as the company Iconic Cleaning also sent an unsolicited email to the management email address of my company spruiking a cleaning service that doesn't even service the area my business is located.

Extremely frustrating behavior, particularly the UCE. The call does route back to the desk of a Merry Jade, a woman with a thick Asian accent. Not sure how they think this kind of unsolicited cold calling will go down with their prospective clients, but I'd go out of my way to avoid them if I was looking to find an alternative cleaner for my office. THEIR email address(es) are info or sales AT iconiccleaning DOT com DOT au and another contact appears to be a guy called Rami on 045 ZERO 331 SEVEN 00

The UCE originated from a marketing alias from that same domain and was sent using Open-Xchange Mailer (my professional mailer DOT COM without spaces). The x origin header claims it was from an IP block owned by Sri Lanka Telecom at 112 dot 135 dot 70 dot 148 but my mail server actually picked it up from a GoDaddy controlled smtp server in Phoenix at 173 dot 201 dot 192 dot 79, so there's spoofing going on too. The whole trifecta. Great job.
