Scam caller number been reported

Did not answer this unknown number (02) 7208 8947 today 09 April 2025 at 2.10pm to my Optus mobile which went to voicemail. Asian female caller first speaking in English then Chinese. Press 1 for English press 2 for Chinese, issuing threat to update or suffer consequences. Same recorded message as received by other informants posted on this site.

Caller: scam

They definitely don't know who you are because I made up a fake name but no one noticed. The voice means for you to press 1 for English service and 2 for Chinese because this is a scam specifically for overseas Chinese. (I actually tried pressing 1 and got a call still in Chinese , then I asked him why don't you speak English？【*Because they are very dumb scammers who don't really speak English】) Then if you are Chinese，he will tell you that your visa will be revoked. Actually, come to think of it, what are you considered important enough to warrant a personal call from immigration?

Left a voice message in Chinese, my phone translated the voice message and this is what it said.

“Chinese press two You need to get your tongue down. I think you should. You yell jumping in your fool. I need to cheat on earth to lunching on earth.…”

Recorded message telling me my phone will be out of use today

My phone picked it up as a potential scam.

Got a sms with a item to download but my Samsung flag it a Potential Fraud so I looked it up and now deleted it

They left a pre recorded message that I had missed an important call from the Australian Government, spoken in English. Press 1 for English, 2 for Chinese and then proceeded to speak to me in Chinese. Obviously another scammer. Blocked the number.

100% scam, English press 1 and 2 for Chinese

Couldn't understand a word as it was a recorded message in Chinese.

Left a voicemail in Mandarin.
