Just posted a gumtree advert and withing seconds I had a call and while on the phone another was calling. then I had repeated calls from the same number sfter telling them fo F@@@ off. Have blocked the number now/

Put a add on gumtree now getting these stupid phone calls today have had 4 so far this morning now just blocked them. Indian scammers, trying to sell google pages or something first 2 times hung up next 2 yelled at the to stop calling me!!

Within minutes of posting a Gumtree ad, they called to say I'd been selected to appear number one on Google search listings. Clearly a scam, ignore them.

similar to a lot of folks here but these planks must've gone to the trouble of accessing my voice messaging as my phone didn't ring as such, just gave me my voicemail notification alert. rang my voicemail & listened(?) to 30secs. of silence then pressed "6" to return call & quickly wrote the number down that the 'operator' read back to verify. then came here!

Scam, block it, they get the number of gumtree

Literally within 5 seconds of my ad going live on gumtree... 10 calls in a row from this number.

Samsung alerts me and identified the call as potential fraud so I didnt answer- Block.

Strongly Indian accent. Told me I was "qualified" to get my website to first page on Google while they are not even from Google. Clearly indian scamers are looking Australia as a promising land for their sh*t.
