Has this number been hijacked by overseas scammers? This the second time within 30 minutes that I have received a call on my mobile from this number. Again there was the usual overseas call centre delay before a male with a thick Indian or Pakistani accent answered and said his name was "John" and that he was calling about the government solar rebate scheme. I am on the do not call register.

Are the overseas scammers hijacking legitimate phone numbers? I received a call from this number on my mobile. There was the usual overseas call centre delay before a female with a thick Indian or Pakistani accent answered and asked for me by name. I didn't get to find out what she wanted as the line dropped out. I tried calling the number back and got the message that the line was busy.
