I saw that it had casino as ID, Thinking it a telemarketer. I answer phone! as i put everything on RED, He spoke (Your are really redneck ) then hang up.

You can't call this number back so this in itself is inherently suspicious.
Cold calling I suspect.

I called back number (02) 6699 5016 rang once then gets disconnected automatically.

Came in an email as a number to call back claiming to be from the Commonwealth Bank,

SCAM - block them.

They use Internet calling. Share trading or whatever they want to sell they do not care about Do Not Call Registers. SCAM - block them.

Got a call, answered, heard nothing, call was disconnected after a few seconds. Based on the other descriptions here about global share trading, I suspect they got my name from a share trading registry at one of the companies I genuinely own shares in (if they did so for the purpose of marketing it's illegal). I'm also on the Do Not Call register, so I also suspect they don't care about the legality of their actions

They asked for me by name and when I said yes they hang up

I know I got the same - very weird I've just blocked them.

call in and following "hello" hung up . I returned call and read dial says "connecting " this took 5 mins until and engaged signal

they called me this evening, no one spoke, just silence i said hello hello hello and hung up, then when i called back half hour later, it wont connect makes a strange disconnected sound. really suss!
