Caller: Another scammer

Just hangs up

started getting calls from this number immediately after hanging up on mobile 0408 693 259 which was a call centre of some kind

Calls me everyday but i keep missing it. Today they left me a voicemail saying "Your mother" so Googled the number and found this thread. Weirdos.

Had a missed call. Probably a spoofed number - is legitimately structured and gave an unlikely location as Ellenborough, NSW which is a small village on the Oxley Highway. You can buy a spoof number from Skype - thanks Microsoft!!!!

Some scammer with Indian accent asking for someone , couldn't understand him so I hung up ! tried on a land line to ring the number said it was disconnected - time wasters !!! block the number as I just did !

Called but didn’t leave a message. Thanks for all previous responses, I’ve now added this to my blocked numbers.

Answered call - huge delay, clearly trying to sell or scam.

Tried to call back and Optus advised the number was unavailable. Left me a voicemail ad asked for me by name, then went silent. Added to blocked numbers list.

They hung up as soon as I started making kissy duck face noises, I called back (on blocked number of course) and number was disconnected! Oh my - my blocked caller list is getting sooooo long!!!
Note: call type = other, as no “pest” option available!!!

It's SPAM marketing trying to sell web design. It starts off with a long pause as the robocaller detects there is a human answering the phone, then the sales guy picks up. Not interested!

I have been getting a call from this number everyday... luckily I have been in meetings every single time they called so this call never got answered.

Wanted to check who is calling me everyday so came up here and figured its a spam call! phewwwww...!!

Scam Call. Just hang up after asking are you Mr.....xxxx . I said "Yes" then hang up. Should not answer Yes. Always ask them who is calling and for what.

Phone rang and when i answered, after a few seconds the call drops out. I am getting a daily call from a NSW number with the same problem.

They call then hang up as soon as you answer. Whatever you do, don't answer calls from unknown numbers with 'Yes', this is a scam where the caller records this as evidence that you agreed to a contract or whatever.

Sounds like call from overseas. Is a scam.

I got a missed call and call back the next day, the number was disconnected. I blocked the number so I dont get a call again from the same number.
