I’ve been stuck overseas due to covid but again I get more of these unwanted crap calls. Now I just answer in a foreign language so they can’t be bothered to continue

I have a feeling that some companies pay employees for making as many phone calls as possible within a certain time frame to promote or sell products. The employees know that most people will not be interested in what they're selling so they just make a call & hang up. The police should look into this.
