very dodgy... called back... "your call cannot be connected"

I had this call, which I thought might have been about a sick relative in the northern NSW coastal area. No message was left. Like the other reviewer, I tried to ring back but got an American recording saying it was not valid and could not be connected. Grrr.

No knowledge of this number or who called. No message left on the answering machine.
SPAM caller?

Technical Department of Telstra Internet - Computer Errors

Asked to open event viewer - errors and warnings. When challenged that this is on every computer, the manager hung up.

Caller: Adam Smith and other alias :)

Call centre claiming to be Telstra technical department, requiring you to switch on your computer and follow their instructions.
Ask you to input keystrokes which will grant them remote access and control of your hard drive by claiming they are getting you to run a malware infection diagnostic check. Putting you through to their supervisors is a recurring ploy.
String them along for a bit and they will hang up with a ...."You fu#$ing cu$% I will fu#$ you up you fu%^&* cun%...
They are not Telstra, though I suspect from the background noise and chatter they are rogue employees in some sort of legitimate indian call centre who run a bit of a scam on company time. They have all the lingo down pat.
Really....Nasty....Stuff.

Scam

INDIAN/PAKISTAN ACCENT - SAID HE WAS FROM TELSTRA AND WANTED TO KNOW IF I WAS THE MAIN COMPUTER OWNER.
I HUNG UP. WHEN YOU DIAL THIS NUMBER WITHIN AUSTRALIA, a recorded message says the call can not be completed and to get help from the operator.

Caller: SUPPOSEDLY Tesltra Technical Department

Enquiring about my internet connection, which I do not have with them, - as always someone of asian origin

This number called until 9pm on the 9/7/2018. Some People go to bed early very rude
