Someone saying they were from Telstra and my computers internet was infected. When I called the number back it was not connected

Caller: Someone who said they were from Telstra

He told me that there was someone outside not at my residence getting access to my ip address and using it for illegal purpose. When I asked for proof that he was a Telstra employee he said that he could give me my router licence number that only the the internet provider and user would know. I didn't believe him and hung up he immediately called back and I hung up again.

Caller: someone from overseas

someone used this local number to call from overseas...always a delay and than someone with a non English background telling that there is something wrong with your IP address?
told him to bugger off
