Caller: (02) 6228 3281 Got calls several times from this number, each time the music in the background and a recorded message of someone with an Asian accent, speaking an Asian language. When I got the 4th one, I was in the presence of a Chinese friend who speaks fluent mandarin, so I put it on speaker. It was even too fast for him to catch all the details. He translated it somewhat, that the message was there is a problem with immigration/Visa/PR, and they need to contact another number and pay for an investigation to fix up the error or else they will be deported. He suggested it could be like those premium numbers where you are charged $10/minute, or it could be straight out scare tactics to get people to give credit card info. He had a good laugh, stating that it's Chinese scamming Chinese in Australia.

I bought a $5 sim card so I could comment on TikTok videos (you need to be able to provide a number to do so). I didn't want my actual number used. Then on that number I started getting multiple calls from people claiming to be Australian border force.

Was a recording in what i think is Chinese, not sure which language. When I googled it a website said it was the old reception number from the Chinese Embassy in Australia. I've blocked them.

Caller: Scammers pretending to be the Chinese Embassy Just hang up and block the number, don’t even engage, if you do engage call them all the names you want, I did, she got angry and hung up on me. They are thieves, liars and they should be in jail for what they do. Sick to death of all them
