A recorder American Voice saying there has been fraud on my Tax Number.

Hung up on these wankers....and...blocked their number as spam

Automated message from "ATO" allegedly my tax file number has been used in fraudelent activities. Hung up before they read the options

Scam caller saying i have a warrant out for my arrest.

Caller: Officer James Murphy from the ATo

Caller had stated that he was an officer from the ATO Canberra and that there was a warrant out for my arrest regarding fraudulent tax returns and that i need a lawyer to represent me in court in the next 2 hours, I had stated that the number had come up as being in the Parramatta area i had asked for his ID number, contact details and documents in relation to the warrant in which he then said that i am not allowed to ask question just to answer them. I had stated that unless he can provide me with these details i will not be answering any questions, he than hung up on me when i had tried to call them number back and the number is disconnected

Didn't answer. Blocked per overwhelming advice above re this being yet another scammer trying their luck...not on my watch matey

That my Tax file number has been suspended due to fraudulent activity and to return the call. Reported it to Scamwatch

Third scam call in 2 weeks.

These calls are still happening, I let it ring out and called the number back and it’s ‘sorry this number is temporarily disconnected’ , 7am on my morning off , these African scammers are pissing me off surely something can done !

Hung up as soon as I answered the call, I called back but it said user busy. I assumed it was a scammer. They never spoke or played anything just hung up as soon as I answered. The number was odd as I’m in a different state with no connections in that state.

Caller: SCAMMER

Call from this number mid-morning – engaged my standard practice of rejecting calls from unknown numbers – then rang back using caller ID supplied – call answered with recorded message about current ATO SCAMS – clearly a weak and transparent attempt to establish false credibility – hung up and visited ATO online and found ATO’s webpage guide for identifying ATO Scammers - ( https://www.ato.gov.au/general/online-services/identity-security/verify-or-report-a-scam/).
This call ticked all the ATO’s boxes for a SCAMMING call.
Final Step -> Blocked number!
