Automated message advising the ATO is about to start legal proceedings against you for incorrect tax returns. I called the ATO direct and they confirmed this is definitely a scan.

Very dodgy sounding message claiming to be from ATO whereby you get transferred to an operator. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!

Someone called me and put a recorded message on play. The message was telling me that I have issues with my tax account and I should follow the steps on the phone to avoid penalties.

I checked my Gov account and no issue is reported to me and this is the silliest way of contacting a person for tax issues.
